Located in the Columbia Valley AVA of Washington State, we are a small vineyard and winery in the Squilchuck valley just South of Wenatchee. We are passionate about growing our own grapes and making the best wine we can from what nature has given us. We practice sustainable farming where most of the work is done by family and friends, by hand.
From our vineyard we produce red, white and rose wines.
Darlene and Jack bought what they referred to as 7 acres of dirt in 2007 to create a sustainable rural lifestyle. Looking at the dry barren piece of former cherry orchard, there was one large green thriving in the dry land. Turns out it was a grapevine, planted by some long ago bird. Having been in the wine business for over 20 years, Darlene suggested that was it, they could turn the dirt into a vineyard.
The vineyard is planted in loamy clay left behind by ice age floods with southern slopes and exposure to Mission Ridge. Our grapes are hand tended, and sustainably grown. Each vine gets individual loving care throughout the year from spring bud break to winter pruning.
Our first grapes were planted in 2008 and wine making commenced. Over the years the vineyard grew, and Jack honed his skills as a grape-grower and winemaker. Darlene became an angel in 2018 after bottling her last vintage. Jane has since joined the team, quickly embracing her new lifestyle as a winegrower.
With encouragement from friends, acclimation from wine experts from as far away as Europe, we decided to take our passion to the next level. We applied for our license to make wine with our first vintage being 2021.
The wine from 2021, a red Bordeaux blend, has been in barrel and ageing for over two years. It has developed delicate aromas and integrated flavors and is ready to enjoy. We will bottle summer of 2023 and release it in time for fall harvest festivities in September 2023. Come by and taste some before we bottle, or after it is available.

We are small and have day jobs. Please, just give us a call and we'll figure a time when we can meet. You can tour the vineyard, winery and taste what we do.
